"God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."-- 2 Corinthians 5:21
"...and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness." -- Hebrews 9:22-b

If you haven’t read the complete story of the crucifixion recently, today’s a perfect day to revisit it. Here are the four Gospel accounts of the story:

What Christmas is really Really REALLY About

This is not just another rambling whiny post about how Christmas is about Christ's birth and not about Santa and presents.  There's enough of those going around to make you feel sicker than if you'd eaten a whole plateful of gingerbread cookies by yourself.  However, this is a post about the importance of Christmas.

When people tell you about the importance of Christmas, they'll most likely tell you the who, what, how, and where.  Who?  Baby Jesus.  What?  Born.  How?  Of a virgin.  Where?  Bethlehem.  When?  Christmas Day! (He was born before that, but that's another matter...)  These are true, yes, but I think the real importance of Christmas lies in the why.  You can have the who, what, where, when, and how; but they're all completely pointless (except maybe the 'who') if you don't know why.
